With Der Schatzgräber at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Christof Loy continues his exploration of strong female characters in little-known 20th-century works, following success with Erich Wolfgang Korngold’s Das Wunder der Heliane and Riccardo Zandonai’s Francesca da Rimini. Alongside Elisabet Strid, Thomas Johannes Mayer, and Tuomas Pursio, Mr. Carico will appear as Der Junker, and the production will be conducted by Marc Albrecht.
