Seth is thrilled to be returning to the U.S. to make his house debut with The Dallas Opera in Jonathan Dove’s madcap opera, Flight. This piece has not let up its momentum since immediately gaining popularity at the Glyndborne Festival, where it was commissioned to premiere in 1999. The large cast of quirky characters revolves around The Refugee, a passenger who for 20 years has not left the airport terminal in which they are all stranded, due to inclement weather. Countertenor sensation John Holiday will appear as The Refugee, Deanne Meek as the Older Woman, Abigail Rethwisch as The Controller, and Seth will play the Minskman, along with Catherine Martin as his wife, The Minskwoman, reuninting for the first time since they appeared together in Dead Man Walking in Minneapolis. Emmanuel Villaume will lead them all from the pit in a production from Kristine McIntyre.
